American Diabetes Walk in Chandler 2011

On October 1, 2011, Brothers from Phi Iota Chapter served in the capacity of volunteers for the fifth straight year in support of the Annual American Diabetes Walk around the Rawhide facility located in Chandler, Arizona. 

Over 2,000 walkers and participants "Stepped Out” . The walkers consisted of approximately 200 teams and over $250,000 was raised (See photos).

 

 

  

American Diabetes Walk in Chandler 2010

On September 18, 2010, Brothers from Phi Iota Chapter and the 12th District, aided by members of the National Pan Hellenic Council, enthusiastically volunteered and assisted with numerous key responsibilities associated with the Annual American Diabetes Walk around the Rawhide facility located in Chandler, Arizona. 

Over 1,000 men, women and children “Stepped Out” and excitedly walked or jogged the one mile or 5k course, encouraged by an army of supporters involved in a wide assortment of entertaining activities. 

An impressive total of $53,888 dollars has been raised with donation continuing to be received by this successful annual ADA fundraiser and public awareness effort (See photos).

American Diabetes Walk at Rawhide Pass September 2009

On September 26, 2009, Brothers from Phi Iota assisted by the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority (Kappa Eta Sigma Chapter), volunteered to assist with the set-up, coordination, registration, and serving of lunch during the ADA Walk. There were over 1,100 walkers stepping out and a total of an amazing $114,129 was raised (overall donations)! The goal was $124,409! Additional donations are being donated as we speak.
