Living Above The Influence
On May 1, 2010, OYLA held a seminar entitlled "Living Above The Influence." The event was a service-learning project hosted by the youth of OYLA as a part of their spring outreach. Guest presenters included Coach Bilal Salam (C.E.O), Brother Dr. Quebec Logan. In addition the youths viewed the nationally acclaimed documentary "Hip-Hop - Beyond Beats and Rhymes", written and produced by Bryon Hurt, followed by a group forum on male masculinity (See photos).
