On March 12, 2011, OYLA collaborated with Delta Sigma Theta, Inc. to conduct an event which would empower males to Build Opportunities for Dveloping Independence. Embodi is the signature program of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (See the following photo).

On January 29, 2011, Brother Lionel Lyons was the guest presenter at the OYLA. Brother Lyons provided the youths with "10 Steps to Soaring Like An Eagle". His candid yet real talk approach was very informative (See the following photos).
Historical View Points of Black History in America December 2010
On Decenber 4, 2010, Brother and Dr. George Greene conducted a power presentation on historical view points of Black History in America and the State of Arizona. Brother and Dr. George Greene provided each youth with a packet of information, along with the message "Lazy People Do Not Succeed." (See photos).
