Youth Recognition 2011
On May 21, 2011, members of the Omega Youth Leadership Academy (OYLA) staff held a recognition luncheon to recognize efforts and successes of the students enrolled in the OYLA. This event was attended by Brothers from Phi Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., members from Lifting As We Climb Foundation, Inc., parents of the students, and honored guest (See the following photos).

Instructors (left-to-right - Brother and Dr. Bill Smith, Brother Mark Colclough, Brother and Dr. Carl Blunt, Brother Larry Ross, and Brother Jay Williams) from the OYLA Staff present Abdul Lateef (OYLA Alumni - holding the certificate), who is now attending USC to obtain his Law degree, with a certificate of Recognition.
Keynote speaker Brother Carl Blunt (Immediate Past 1st Grand Vice-Basileus) spoke to the students on the importance of leaving a financial legacy.
Guest speaker Brother Charles Peevy (Immediate Past 12th District Representative) provided a visual presentation and interactive seesion with the students which resulted in a eye-opening event.
