Black History Month Celebration February 2011
On February 10, 2011, Phi Iota Brother William Jefferson (as a member of the Buffalo Soldiers of Mesa) took part in the Ninth Annual Arizona Black Legislature Prayer for Black History month (See photos).

Black History Week Celebration February 2009
Brothers from Phi Iota worked in conjunction with the City of Phoenix Human Relations Commission - Equal Opportunity Department to celebrate Black History Week. This event took place during "Faces of Diversity." While the guest speakers spoke Brothers from Phi Iota manned a table to pass out brochures depicting the purpose of Phi Iota's involvement in the community, in addition to registering individuals to vote.
