MLK Celebration January 2010
Brothers from Phi Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. worked in conjunction with the City of Phoenix acting in the capacity of the eyes and ears for the local park authorities and police to celebrate Black History month. This celebration took place at Margret T. Hance Park in Phoenix. In addition, Phi Iota set-up a table to disseminate Chapter brochures depicting what purpose we serve within and outside the community; provide the public with brochures on healthy eating and diabeties; and provide voter's registration forms to those individuals who requested blank forms. The following photos will provide you with a sense of those activiies which took place on that day:

MLK - An Evening of Sharing January 2010
On January 15, 2010, Brothers from Phi Iota celebrated MLK Day with the Town of Gilbert. This celebration took place at First United Methodist Church in Gilbert, Arizona. This event was held by the Human Relations, Culture and Arts Promotion Commision to allow the citizens of Gilbert to understand and work toward achievement of the dreams that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. so eloquently delivered on the 28th of August 1963, at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. Brother William Jefferson (Gilbert Human Relations, Culture & Arts promotion Commision Member) introduced the keynote speaker.

Brother Walter Venerable Sr. was the Local Historian and keynote speaker.
